New Event!!!

Grits and Glamour

is very proud to announce a brand New Event!

A Porch and Patio Party!

Tuesday, May 15th !
* * * * * * * *
re-new-al: (noun)
the act of renewing or the state of making something
appear new again.
* * * * * * * *

If you are like me, one of the best parts of Spring is the
"renewal" or regeneration of my porches.
I spend a whole day cleaning,
replacing the "Winter" cushions with "Summer" cushions,
re-potting flower pots...and generally ridding the porches of any
signs of Winter.

So - join me in sharing your own porch, patio and
deck "re-NEW-al."

I have also provided a smaller logo for you to post on your sidebar
as a reminder for others to join in.

Here's the best part...

If you participate - you will automatically be qualified to win this:

A three-tiered planter from Plow & Hearth.

(sorry, flowers not included - that's up to you!) :-)

If you place the small logo on your blog - you'll get TWO chances.

Become a new follower...you'll get THREE chances.

So....ready, set - GO!

Get out your brooms, dust off the cushions, splash a coat of
paint on that old wicker...

"It's a Porch and Patio Party!..."

...and you're invited!!!

  6. Thanks for the advance warning. My screened-in porch here in Colorado is still covered with its winter dirt and grime. But by May 5th, we should have it ready to go. This is good incentive! Sally

  7. What a great idea. Thanks for letting us know well in advance. It's still too nippy here to plant much. However, there is lots of scrubbing that needs to take place on my patio. :)

  33. I dropped in because of your clever name, and am again captivated by your clever ideas.

    Sign me up for the patio party---we just got ours spiffed up for houseguests, and the lawn is looking oh, so pretty with the grapevines beginning to leaf out and the hostas coming up.

    I do believe you mean the 5th? as is on the logo, rather than the 15th as on the banner below.

    Looking forward to all the parties to drop in on!!
