I am trying to slowly get back into the routine of blogging. I wasn't even sure if I remembered how. I thought I would share with you my 10-minute Fall Candleholder project.
I am working on my formal Fall Tablescape. I probably won't make Tablescape Thursday, but I will post it when its completed.
Ten minutes might be a stretch, actually. I stopped mid-way through to pet Baby Lily, my craft assistant.
I started with two candleholders which I already had. I purchased two beaded pumpkins at the Dollar Store, some bittersweet roping at Michael's (50% off by the way), and some delicate ribbon.
Follow along closely now....I will be moving pretty quickly..... :-D
I pulled off the stem, then using a kitchen paring knife I cored out a small hole, then pushed the candle into the pumpkin.
Next, I made a small wreath with the bittersweet berries, and simply sit it on top of the candleholder, then placed the pumpkin/candle on top. Finally, I tied a bow around the base of the candleholder.
Baby Lily! Please move so I can get a better pic.....
Displayed temporarily on a side table in my breakfast room.
I made two, and these will be placed on eash side of my centerpiece on my table.
So that's it. Hopefully my posts will get more exciting as I work out some of my Blog Stiffness from inactivity. :-)
Thanks for joining me.....Barb
