It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like.....Christmas????
Yep - right now, my kitchen and breakfast area are alive with garland and lights, gingerbread men and all things Christmas. Why you say? Not because I couldn't wait another day....LOL....'cause everyone knows I love my Fall Season too much.
It's because my kitchen and breakfast room are going to be featured in a national magazine!!!
I got the call from the Editor - out of the blue - last Tuesday. They had been following my blog and loved my kitchen decorated for Christmas which I shared last year. She said that before I agreed, I needed to know when they needed me to be ready. By this Friday!!! They actually wanted me ready by last Friday - but there was just no way.
I am very excited, and when I can announce the magazine I will let everyone know. Hoping I will even make the cover. But, that might send me into cardiac arrest. :-)
BTW, while I'm at it since its been forever and ever since I last posted, I wanted to share my newest project. I added "brick" to my kitchen backsplash a few weeks ago.

Here is a shot with my copper farm-house sink. Best of all, it cost me about $100.
It's paneling. Yes, my friends....paneling. Lowe's sells sheets of 4x8 paneling which looks like faux brick. It has a raised pattern and features a red brick coloration. The paneling was cut and adhered right over the sheetrock, primed and painted. Most people cannot believe its not real brick when they see it.
I love, love, love it. I am trying to decide where I can use it next. :)
Okay....enough fun on the pooter for one night...its back to Christmas-rama. I have soooo much to do!
