A Pheasant Feather that is!
Love them….can’t get enough of them. I also discovered
that I have a love of all things “Pheasant” so I guess it
would make sense.
This post was plannned a few days ago, as I want to
share pics of my Family Room. I have created a hydrangea
and pheasant feather arrangement for my Family Room,
which may be the prettiest I have ever done.
(sorry for the tease….pics coming tomorrow I promise)
Anyway…where was I? (dratted old age)….Oh yes….
pheasant feathers!
So a very good friend of mine, Cyndi – was asking
for some design advise tonight from some other friends
and I. Her dilemma was that she felt a certain design
project she was attemptingwas not “in Season.”
My advice to her…decorate in a way that makes
you feel good about your home from the moment you
walk into the door. My home is decorated in reds,
greens, browns and golds. Fall colors.
I just removed my Christmas decor, and I am creating
designs primarily in a Fall color palette. Its hard for me
to imagine throwing in some cool blues and teals at this
point. So…I go with the flow.
So what the John Brown does any of this have to do
with Pheasant feathers, and will I ever shut up and just get
to the point.
(Oh don’t act like you didn’t just ask that!) 🙂
I wanted to show you these neat-o inspiration pics
of Pheasant Feathers. They are delish.
I’m sure the bird was pretty good, too. Ha!
(disclaimer: no actual pheasants were harmed or killed in the making of this post)
I absolutely, without a doubt will have some of these
very, very soon. I heart these!
(Mr Grits said the pheasant’s that these balls came from must have been very, very healthy.
heehee….naughty Mr. Grits!)
Love the earthern bowls filled with eggs and the pot of
various feathers. Look, I see pheasant feathers.
Look how these feathers dress up a simple silk
green plant.
There’s more of them balls, too. 🙂
Excuse me while I wipe down my keyboard of
slobber, cause whenever I look at this pic I start drooling.
Look at the centerpiece…..beautimous.
Pheasant feathers and hydrangeas…the perfect pairing.
(yep, more balls.)
Simple and beautiful. That’s a whole lot of feathers!
But….even though I L-O-V-E pheasant feathers….
you will NEVER see me wearing this…
A sinful waste of feathers if you ask me. 🙂
Thanks for letting me share with you my passion of
pheasant feathers. Tomorrow, I will share what I
have done with mine.
May Your Feathers Give You Wings….Barb
