Chair: (Noun)
I have a personal mission this year.
(Well, in terms of “Chairs” that is.)
It’s to add one or more of these,
my favorite kind of chair….
my favorite kind of chair….
The French Bergère
Bergère, meaning “shepardess” became popular among French nobility in the 1700’s.

“oversized” dresses and fashions of the times.
And though the modern-day Bergere chair has taken on a
simpler and less formal feel….
The classic lines of this beautifully-designed chair
remain the same.
Do you have a passion for a particular piece of furniture?
(I am pretty sure Mr Grits’ is recliners.)
I know right?
I would love to hear what your favorite piece

I would have to say sofas are my favorite….tufted, velvety fabric, exposed legs. But for chairs, these are my favorite!

I’d love to add one or two of those to my home, too, Barb! I love ’em, but they are always so expensive. I could use one in my master bedroom, our guest bedroom and/or our sunroom. Maybe I’ll get lucky at the thrift store or an estate sale!

Barb, I have to say I am right there with you. I too love chairs. I seem to have quite a few. Just found fabric to have a so-so outdated chair recovered into something quite charming and classy! makes my heart race! LOL.
I love the chairs you have pictured.

Love those chairs, Barb. I had to think a minute about my addiction. Other than dishes, I would have to say chairs are a close second, if not at tie.

Love those chairs. They all look cozy. I am partial to little tables. I don’t have much room for them now, but I still look.

I love chairs too – I have one sitting in the garage just waiting to be beautiful like one of the ones you featured. Can’t wait to get some time to get it ripped apart! I found you on Miss mustard Seed – hope you will stop by too 🙂

I love anything with curves but chairs seem to love me. They’re always showing up! A stripped down Bergère ottoman or hassock sits in front of me right now waiting for it’s new ‘dress’.
