Day 2 of Five Days of Fabulous Fall!
The Woodsy theme continues…
This time, I have added a few pieces of one of my favorite dish collections. The plate is part of a collection I purchased many years ago in England and these are now widely seen all over.
My collection features deer, wild turkey, pheasants, and woodland bunnies.
Speaking of Woodland Bunnies…
My Spode Woodland Bread Box still brings me immense joy whenever I unwrap it each Fall.
Is it right that a piece of Spode can bring me “immense joy?”
Now don’t get me wrong, it is NOT the immense joy that we had this past Saturday when we celebrated our little Roo’s 3d birthday.
Here is his 1st Birthday pic…
But, it is an immense joy that material objects of beauty can bring.
You know what I mean. 🙂
This entire Buffet vignette was created using recycled items, to include all of the elements I used to create the Fall Woodsy arrangement.
The small cross-stitched frame above hardly ever leaves the Buffet. It is one of those items, that although material, means a great deal to me.
The saying is so true…”God gave us each other June 20, 1992.”
My sister-in-law, who is in advanced stages of Alzheimer’s, made this for us. She does not know who we are any longer. I will cherish it always.
I switched out the lamp for one which conveys more of a Fall feeling.
Here is what my Buffet looked like last Fall. You will see several familiar elements.
And then I did a complete change for Spring and Summer…
Quite a change huh?
But of all the vignettes I could complete, nothing beats the look of Fabulous Fall!
This area takes on such a warm and soothing glow at night.
Thank you for letting me share my Woodsy Fall Buffet with you.
Tomorrow…the Five Days of Fabulous Fall continues. Where will I go next? 🙂

I’ve never been to a “hangout” before. I’ll have to Google that to see what it’s all about. I’m not all that computer savvy, so I miss out on a lot, I’m sure! I’m sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. It’s wonderful that you have that memento of her talents. My Dad also suffers with that disease, but his has manifested itself in a different way. Mercifully, he still knows who we are and has a vivid recollection of the distant past. His short-term memory is badly affected, though. Your buffet looks fantastic! In fact, I now have “buffet envy” big time!!! 🙂
