I am far from a philosopher. I do not even claim that I can impart any sage advice about life and love.
But, I do know one thing. One simple little thing that has become my Life Mantra.
Love Is All You Need.
There have been times in my life when I thought, for certain, that Love had forsaken me. I would put on a silly little hat and a frilly dress to match, maybe even some sparkly shoes - and then I would proceed to have myself a royal Pity Party for One.
Little did I know - I was always surrounded by Love.
Over the past few weeks, following my Daddy's stroke, I have witnessed first hand the power of Love.
The Love that my Mama has for my Daddy.
The Love that my sister and brother has for me.
The love that my grandchildren have for their great-grandparents.
The love that my son has for me.
The love my husband has gifted me with.
But there were two "loves" that stood out to me most of all...
The Love of Life that my 80-year old Daddy has.
This very Love of Life and the love for his family, has no doubt, encouraged him to push himself during the arduous hours and hours of therapy he has endured.
But, the one love - the most important love - is
our family's Love of God.
God has been very good to us. His Love has seen us through some very trying times.
There is no better Love than His Love.
So while I may not be a woman of wisdom, nor may I know all the answers to life....
I do know that without a doubt -
Love is really all you need.
Thank you for all your love and kind words and emails during my absence from blogging. I have missed it and missed you, too. Please be patient with me as I ease back into it. :)
This easy-peasy burlap banner was made with four small pieces of burlap ribbon, some tiny pink heart-shaped buttons and lots of pink and white polka-dotted ribbon.

ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Such a sweet and heartfelt blog. Your hutch looks wonderful, and your understanding of how the spirit of love is always around us is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAint that the truth! So often, what we have, what we need, is right here at our fingertips, staring us in the face! Sometimes, it takes a major challenge to pull a family closer. My parents were the glue that kept me and my four sibs connected. it's not the same with out them.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Barbara
