It's back!
Yay or Nay Thursday!
It's been a while as "Yay or Nay" has been on a hiatus during the holidays, but I am happy to bring this great discussion back...because I love hearing all of your opinions and finally posting the results.
This week, I am going to step back from
Home and Design questions...and ask something Fashion related. (gasp!)
I am on a new mission to revise my tired and outdated closet.
Starting with some Spring attire.
My sweet friend, Kathysue at Good Life of Design, who has a fabulous sense of style, sent me this picture - and it has become my "Summer Fashion Mantra" if there is such a thing.
This is my style to a "T." I plan on adding more white pants and jeans into my Summer wardrobe this year. I have lost almost 10 pounds, and look forward to more weight loss in the next months.
This is me, too. Classic and casual and comfortable.
Well, let me say this is how I would like to look.
:-)
So....here is your Yay or Nay Question:
"How do you feel about Colored Jeans?"
They seem to be a growing trend in fashion right now, but I am thinking they are a fad and will soon fade as many fashion fads eventually do.
What say you? Do you like Colored Jeans or are you the more practical navy and/or white blue jean kinda gal?
Yay or Nay to Colored Jeans?
I can't wait to hear your answers.

I love colored jeans right now. But I agree with you - I think they are a trend that won't be for a lot of years. BTW - these looks are so YOU and congrats on your weight loss!
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend. I have a LOT more to lose but its a start. :)
DeleteI like colored jeans but I probably would only buy 2-3 pairs and the rest would be the traditional blues. One thing's for sure, they'll look fab in the Spring and Summer! Have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteYes, maybe a one pair in color. I do like the mint green pair that I shared.
DeleteWell they have been in style for two seasons now so they are here for at least a little while longer. Love them. I wore yellow and turquoise jeans to death in the early 90s so I will definitely be buying some this year. Cobalt and Emerald will be the colors I will be buying, they go with almost everything in my wardrobe, they will be straight legged or boot cut never skinny on these chicken thigh legs. I have a theory about skinny jeans, Stand in front of the mirror and turn sideways and if your leg looks like a chicken drum stick the answer is emphatically NO SKINNY JEANS!! I look like a good piece of Kentucky Fried so no skinnies for me. I am so glad you loved the pin I sent you and thank you so much for the shout out and the sweet compliment. You are such a good friend, xo Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWell, YOU are the one that has me rethinking and desiring a new, updated look. I may consider adding in a pair. But NO SKINNY jeans here, even if I could pull off the look. Love you. xxoo
DeleteI'm with Kathysue. I've been wearing them for a couple of seasons. White, red, green, purple, and gray. Love them!
ReplyDeleteOh I think I would love some gray. Have not thought of that color. Thanks. :)
DeleteI think just a trend and for those size 4 and under. :) xo
ReplyDeleteUp until about 10 years ago, I didn't own a pair of jeans. I still don't really like jeans, even though I have some that look great and fit well. So, I guess I'd have to say I'm more of a BLUE JEAN type of gal!
ReplyDeleteThe color is not the important part. I think colored pants are fine, BUT can you find them in a style that is flattering? As a high school teacher, I see lots of style, and colored jeans are one of them. I see lots of colored skinny jeans, that I would not even try to wear! If they make a flattering style for you ( or me) go for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a good ole blue jean girl, Barb! : ) The colors are pretty, but I can't see spending on a pair of colored jeans that are only going to go with certain pieces. With my regular jeans, I can pull out any sweater or top I want and know it's going to work.
ReplyDeleteWhite- Blue and Black for someone my age. Nice and simple. Then I can add a cute top and spruce it up with accessories. You will look fabulous in anything. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIf the person has a body type that can carry the colored jean look, that would be a great look. I am with the person that said should you do this that you should not get every color. Just get several colors as style changes.
ReplyDeleteWhite jeans are my go to for the Spring and Summer...and love colored jeans too....just bought some emerald ones!...
ReplyDeleteColored jeans are being made in all styles not just skinny. I bought my first pair last year and two more since then. They were not expensive or an investment as a coat would be. They have been a welcome relief from all navy and black and something to enjoy while the trend last.
ReplyDeleteUh...nay for this ole girl. I don't need my giggly celulite moving around in pink jeans...just sayin!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you could wear them in every color and they'd look great. Go for it. You only live once!! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Beth @ Welcome Lane Designs
I think I would like them but I'm a yardsaler so I'll have to wait till the cutting edge folks get tired of them and I can snatch them up! Congrats on losing weight!
ReplyDeleteI think one pair of inexpensive jeans in a fresh color would be fun to wear. I saw them at Marshal's yesterday....all colors and florals too at good prices. I still own a pair of hot pink jeans from the early 90's that I bought to wear to a Valentine's party. Unfortunately they are a size 7 and I can't wear them anymore. :(. I would love to find a gray pair. And I love skinny jeans more so than boot cut. Go for it with a new pair of bright fun! xo YAY
ReplyDeleteHa! I have been battling with this for months. Should I or shouldn't I? I try to avoid anything too trendy. I hate seeing everyone wearing the same thing. They're so cute though so I am on the fence!! I've avoided them so far and probably will. I don't want to look back and say oh geez I was caught in that trend. I try to stay classic.
ReplyDeleteNay. Trend.
