The Easter basket candy has been, I am pleased
to say, sufficiently handled in a professional candy-eating mannerism. When you are as talented at sweet-consumption as my two grandloves… the task at hand was a piece of
cake candy.
And speaking of SWEET…I got a honey-coated, sprinkle-topped surprise this morning.
Christina at No. 29 Design shares her tutorial on creating the look of a wallpapered accent wall, but without the headaches of wallpaper. No, its done entirely with paint and glaze.
I find this fascinating as I am getting ready to tackle an accent wall in The Everyday Home foyer.
Christina used a Martha Stewart Metallic Glaze, a
Royal Design stencil and a lot of patience to create a unique accent wall.
Don’t you love it? Check out Christina’s Tutorial on how she created this design HERE.

If you’re a Foodie like me, you will want to take note of this awesome DIY project for the Kitchen.
Dawn at Inspired Living shares her tutorial on creating custom homemade spice blends.

A veggie blend, a Meat Blend, a Seafood Blend –
why you could have a blend for your Blends. 🙂

5) DIY No-Sew Painted Drop Cloth Curtains
Did I have you at “no sew?” 🙂
Rasonda at Lake Cottage Dreams shows an easy alternative to expensive drapery panels.

If you have ever checked out the price of drop cloths, you will agree that the price is most right. Throw in some craft paint – and well, we got us some DIY curtains, my friends.
Rasonda gives you some tips and pointers for making your own No-Sew Curtains HERE.

Hi, I did something very similar to your accent wall. I noticed that your picture showed you using a stencil brush and that would take a lot of patience. If anyone else is looking to recreate that look you can use a foam roller which saves a lot of time. After you roll the roller through the paint roll it over a paper towel to get rid of the excess and away you go.
