“Spring Dessert Vignette”
I suffer from an unnamed syndrome.
But it happens almost every holiday.
I am going along on my merry day-to-day way -
when all of a sudden I open a calendar and see the date and
realize that an upcoming holiday is a LOT closer than I realized.
So today, I got a little jump start and put together a
Spring Dessert Vignette.
The day before Easter, I will simply remove some of the
decorative items and replace it with my famous
Southern Banana Pudding and
Coconut-Lime Layered Cake.
(more on these later)
I started with a stack of these darling, ruffled pink dessert plates.
I have had these for years and love using them each Spring.
A stack of vintage Irish Lace Napkins adds a simple
touch of old charm.
Speaking of vintage Irish Lace Napkins, I sold a set of eight napkins
during the Flea Market Blog Hop earlier this week.
I have had a lot of inquiries into them, so I will be selling more of
these sets next week.
A cute, white pitcher holds mix-and-match vintage silver.
The White Chocolate Easter Egg Bark Candy I shared
earlier is stacked onto a ruffled-edge footed plate, with a
cute Dollar Tree Bunny standing guard.
I moved my large wood tray which I usually have on
my Dining Room table to the chest for this vignette.
I love the reclaimed wood the tray is made of.
A fern and moss basket which I picked up at Pier 1 years ago is
filled with speckled-pastel eggs.
I will be sharing this simple project with you next week, as well.
And my mainstay for every vignette in the Dining Room is back.
My oh-so-treasured Pink and White Staffordshire Soup Tureen.
(I know you get tired of seeing it.)
An assortment of pink, white and blue silks and ferns fills
it to the brim…
A cute bird nest with mini eggs is the perfect accent.
These silks will be replaced with fresh orchids for our Easter dinner.
The best part is that I shopped my home for everything you see.
Budget = $0
<insert Happy Dance!>
I love how the soft pastel colors of the Vignette pulls colors from
the painting above.
Best part – I am not quite in such a panic that Easter is so close.
Dessert Buffet – check!
Thank you for letting me share my Spring Dessert Buffet with you.
I hope you have a beautiful and blessed weekend, and I will see
you next week.
I would love it if you would pin these to your favorite
