Happy Middle of the Week,
my Everyday Friends!
I am so happy that my Recipe Contributor,
Mary Beth with Cupcakes and Crinoline,
is back with another post with a tasty sounding
recipe. I can’t wait to try these
Oven-Baked Hot Wings.
Hi The Everyday Home readers ~ I’m Mary Beth
from Cupcakes and Crinoline and I’m here today
to share another recipe with you that’s great to
serve for family meals and larger parties.
My family loves wings (everyone but me).
They get excited, downright guy giddy, when we
go out to eat and it’s a restaurant that has wings
or when we order wings for takeout. I had always
thought making wings was some sort of mystery….
that there was a trick to making them and somehow
I was incapable of the entire process but then, I got
to thinking and well, they’re not that hard to make at all.
Play around with the recipe below and add or take
away anything you want to make it your own.
If you don’t like hot sauce don’t use it ~ just dredge
your chicken wings in the cracker crumbs.
The same goes for the seasoning, omit what you
want…add what you want…customize them for what
you and your family like. Think of this as a basic
go-to recipe when you’re in a pinch for a quick meal.
Oven Baked Chicken Wings with a
Tangy Hot and Crispy Crust
-2 lbs. chicken wings
(you may need to separate yours if you bought them whole…..I can’t stand to do this part so my oldest son broken them down for me ~ I’m a wimp!)
– 1 cup hot sauce
– 2 cups crushed Ritz Crackers or other buttery cracker
(I crush mine in the blender)
– 1 tsp. crushed, dry oregano leaves
– 1 tsp. garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp. paprika
Heat oven to 350º.
Mix cracker crumbs and seasonings in a shallow bowl.
Dip each wing part in the hot sauce and then
in the crumb mixture.
Place in a single layer on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 20 minutes, flip your wings and cook for an
additional 20 minutes on the other side.
Did you have any idea making wings was this easy?
I learn something new all the time and now I can
save money instead of ordering wings and
scratching my head when they tell me the total.
I mean, they’re wings not steaks!
😀
Thanks, Mary Beth, for another great recipe.
I have never tried the cracker crumb coating but
now I can’t wait to try that!
